Catator wins landmark project order in South Korea’s hydrogen market
Catator AB has secured a significant order from a major Korean corporation for its advanced catalytic reformer, CataRex® Reformer.
This landmark project is expected to accelerate the adoption of clean hydrogen solutions in South Korea and marks an important step in expanding Catator’s presence in the Korean hydrogen economy.
Since actively entering the South Korean market in October 2024, Catator, with the help of its local representative John Kim, has established important relationships with leading Korean industrial groups. The forthcoming project, initially targeting steam-methane reformers for solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) applications, has the potential to scale up toward large-volume hydrogen production for South Korean power generation plants, supporting its vision to emerge as a global leader in hydrogen market and fuel cell technology.

John Kim said: “This order demonstrates the market readiness for clean and efficient hydrogen production technologies. We are committed to support Korean industry partners as they drive the hydrogen economy forward.”
Amin Mehdipoor, Business Development Manager at Catator, added: “Securing this order reaffirms Catator’s leading role in advanced catalytic solutions and underscores our confidence in the South Korean market’s growth. We look forward to deepening partnerships and enabling sustainable hydrogen solutions across the region.”
The project demonstrates how Catator’s CataLite® technology can be integrated into the CataRex Reformer solution and be applied at scale to meet the demands of next-generation fuel cell and power generation systems.
