Collaboration between Hygreen and Bosch on green hydrogen electrolyser technology

Hygreen Energy, a global electrolyser manufacturer and hydrogen technology pioneer, has entered a frame agreement with manufacturing giant Robert Bosch GmbH to integrate Bosch’s Hybrion proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis stacks into Hygreen’s large-scale PEM hydrogen system offerings.

With a multi-year partnership on the cards, Hygreen will use Bosch Hybrion PEM stacks to bring a commercial-ready, large-scale hydrogen production system to worldwide markets.

As a result of the agreement, Hygreen will target PEM projects over 1 MW in size. The result is an expanded product portfolio with broader appeal to hydrogen project developers, engineering, procurement and construction projects (EPCs), and industrial customers seeking flexibility, scalability and speed to market, with globally trusted brand names.

Bosch’s Hybrion PEM stack can deliver up to 1.25 MW of input power, up to 34 bar output pressure, and produce up to 23 kg of hydrogen per hour, while maintaining high efficiency and seamless integration into containerised and skid-mounted designs.

Hygreen Energy will standardise this stack into its 1.25 MW and 5 MW hydrogen systems, enabling rapid deployment in projects ranging from energy storage to industrial decarbonisation.
