UK hydrogen innovation at Cenex Expo 2025
Cenex Expo is the leading event in the UK innovation community, taking place Wednesday 3rd September to Thursday 4th September at UTAC Millbrook. With over 4,000 visitors in attendance last year, the event offers a wide range of exhibitors, an extensive seminar programme and numerous networking opportunities. As part of the outdoor exhibition there is also the opportunity to ride & drive the latest research & development vehicles. Supported by government agencies, the event brings together the people who will deliver the net-zero and connected automated mobility future.

Key players operating within the UK hydrogen landscape exhibiting this year include:
Advanced Propulsion Centre UK (Hall 3, C3-407) - The Advanced Propulsion Centre UK (APC) collaborates with UK government, the automotive industry, and academia to facilitate driving research and investment in zero-emission vehicle manufacturing. Established in 2013 and jointly funded by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT and the automotive industry, the APC accelerates the technologies that support the transition to zero-emission vehicle manufacturing and towards a net-zero automotive supply chain in the UK.
Air Products (Steering Pad, SP-12b) - Air Products’ base business provides essential industrial gases, related equipment and applications expertise to customers in dozens of industries. The Company also develops, engineers, builds, owns and operates some of the world's largest clean hydrogen projects supporting the transition to low- and zero-carbon energy in the heavy-duty transportation and industrial sectors.
Fuel Cell Systems (Steering Pad, SP-06) - a UK-based company with over 15 years of experience in clean energy, specialising in fuel cell solutions and hydrogen refuelling systems. They have the global product knowledge to match power needs for diverse applications, such as environmental monitoring, CCTV towers, wildlife filming and off-grid power for various industries.
HyHAUL Mobility (Hall 3, C3-203e) - transforming freight and logistics with zero-emission solutions for heavy-duty transport. By harnessing hydrogen and advanced mobility technologies, the company is accelerating the transition to cleaner, more sustainable fleet operations.
On 3 September at 1.30pm (Hall 3), Kyle Arnold, HyHAUL’s Managing Director, will join a panel discussion on deploying hydrogen fleets, exploring the advantages of upcycling existing vehicles and the latest in cost-effective, rapidly deployable hydrogen refuelling solutions.
Intelligent Energy (Hall 3, C3-511) - a leader in the development and manufacture of cutting-edge hydrogen fuel cells that overcome the limitations of conventional battery-powered systems. The privately-owned company, which has 600 patents in place, has been innovating for more than two decades in the automotive, aerospace, power generation, telecoms, materials handling and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) sectors.
Metier Technologies (Steering Pad, SP-15) - Metier Technologies and MAHLE Powertrain will showcase a newly developed hydrogen-powered commercial vehicle, demonstrating how their joint technologies enable the rapid conversion of existing diesel trucks to run on 100% hydrogen fuel. The demonstration vehicle features a 6.7-litre, 6-cylinder engine in a DAF LF220 platform, converted to hydrogen technology through the partnership.
Protium (Steering Pad, SP-16) - a leading UK producer of commercial green hydrogen, helping organisations transition to cleaner energy by providing products and services based on reliable hydrogen supply. Protium offer hydrogen as a service, delivering green hydrogen, infrastructure, and expert support to simplify adoption. Whether you're taking your first steps or managing a large-scale project, their flexible, end-to-end solutions can be tailored to your requirements.
ULEMCo (Steering Pad, SP-21) - a pioneering technology innovation company, focussed on the global transition to net zero, delivering practical, zero-carbon hydrogen fuel solutions for heavy-duty equipment and specialist vehicles, that are aimed at transforming how industries accelerate towards decarbonisation.
