White paper highlights how to improve ammonia cracking efficiency with CataRex® technology

Catator AB, a leading developer of reactors and catalysts for amnonia cracking, has released a white paper outlining how CataRex® and CataLite® technologies can provide space and cost-efficient solutions for ammonia cracking, benefiting technology suppliers.

Due to its advantages in storage, transport, and energy density, ammonia is rapidly becoming an important hydrogen carrier, allowing for the efficient distribution of green hydrogen from production to user regions.

Before being used as a fuel for gas turbines or fuel cells, or as feedstock for industrial processes, the hydrogen must be released through cracking of the ammonia.

Tarras Delin, CEO at Catator, said: “We’ve spent several decades perfecting the art of catalysis and we want our customers and stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of the value-added processes we offer.

“We see ammonia cracking as a highly promising hydrogen carrier to drive the energy transition.”

The white paper explores the benefits of ammonia in the green hydrogen economy and provides insights into the CataLite® and CataRex® technologies.

It offers detailed information on the latest work in catalyst development and reactor concepts and explores the main application areas for ammonia cracking.
